Events for 2026
Organising events for 2025 is over and all events now are towards Relay 2026. The main event will be the relay weekend which was on the 23rd / 24th May 2026. The majority of the money we raise is from smaller team organised events and collections at super markets or other events.
It is best to put ideas through the committee as they may be able to help with advice, resources, check that events get promoted and to avoid date clashes.
Now is the time to start planning for the main push to raise funds before the relay event and to motivate your teams.

Luke has recorded a new version of his Relay song with Keltique, a ladies choir based in Looe, and Pelynt male voice choir.

Relay For Life
Relay For Life is a family festival celebrating the power of community fundraising in the fight to beat cancer.
Teams fundraise for life-saving cancer research then unite at a weekend-long festival to celebrate and remember everyone who has been affected by cancer. The festival is focused around a 24-hour relay where team members take it in turns to walk around a track to show that together we will beat cancer.
Relayers keep walking all through the night because Cancer never sleeps so neither will we.

We have been collection bags which are filled with items for the Cancer Research charity shops. We can not credit an exact amount for each bag as it depends on the contents.
So far this year we have collected over 250 bags since the beginning of November 2025 having an estimated total value of £5760
