Candle of Hope Ceremony

Our moment for reflection, to unite as one by lighting the candle or candle bag dedicated to your loved one, be that in memory of someone who has lost their battle or in solidarity of those experiencing a cancer diagnosis as well as celebrating those who are surviving – ‘LIVING with cancer’ Please light a candle at home.

Superheroes

Dress up as your favourite hero. Super or personal.

2 pm

Slip, slap, slop

Slop your sun screen. Slap on your sunglasses and slip on your hat for skin cancer

3 pm

Bra pants and nuts

Decorate your bra’s and pants. Breast, ovarian and testicular cancer.

4 pm

Yellow Lap

Wear or bring something yellow in aid of childhood cancer bladder cancer and bone cancer.

5 pm

Pink and Purple Lap

Wear or bring something pink or purple in aid of esophageal cancer, stomach cancer, breast cancer, testicular cancer, uterine cancer and pancreatic cancer.

6 pm

Doctors and Nurses

Dress up to celebrate the life saving doctors and nurses.

7 pm

Orange Lap

Wear or bring something orange in aid of leukaemia and kidney cancer.

8 pm

Road to Recovery

Dress as a race driver, become a car, all to show the road cancer patients travel.

9 pm

White lap

Wear or bring something white in aid of lung cancer.

10 pm

Candle of Hope

Usually Our Time For Silent Disco While We Take

Disco Lap

Bring out your 80’s clothes and glow sticks and disco the night away.

Blue and Green Lap

Wear or bring something blue or green in aid of liver cancer, prostate cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, thyroid cancer, colon cancer.

10 am

Fight Back

Boxing gloves, martial art gear to kick cancer.

11 am

Anything Goes

Silly walks, silly hats, you choose!

12 Noon

Final laps and ending ceremony.
