Stride 2022

Welcome to Stride 2022

Stride 10km walk

In the past Stride has been a 10km walk around the picturesque Lanhydrock grounds to raise money for Cancer Research UK and to boost awareness of Liskeard Relay for Life.

Due to covid we had a virtual Stride in 2020 which was a fantastic event with many of our teams taking part and completing their walks locally and sending in their pictures for us all to enjoy.

We want to encourage people to do a 10km walk during January and to donate what would have been the entrance fee (£10) for Stride to their Liskeard Relay for Life Team. Even if you cannot do the walk you can still donate to your team or if you are not in a team you can donate to Stride with Hope

We would love you to share your achievements on this site so please send in your photos to our facebook page or post in our blog or email in to chair@liskeardrelay.org

Ultimate Challange

If you are feeling like you would like to shed those extra Christmas pounds and beat the winter blues why not take on the ultimate challenge and complete 5 – 5km walks in January.

They don’t all have to be completed on the 5 weekends, you can fit them in when you like, but as there is 5 weekends in the month it sounds like the ideal time to do it!

We have put some suggested walks which are 5km each but there is plenty of other lovely places out there for you to walk.

Seaton, Lanhydrock, Siblyback Lake, Mount Edgecumbe and Cardinham Woods.
We would love you to share your achievements on this site so please send in your photos to our facebook page or post in our blog or email in to chair@liskeardrelay.org

World Cancer Walk - 9th January 2022

The World Cancer Walk is a world 24 hour event with participants from over 250 cities.

Each city has been given a one-hour time slot and the combination of these hours around the world will equal one full 24hr day.

It will be a 24hr “Relay” spanning almost all time zones across the world!

Our time slot is 11am to 12 midday. Therefore, Members of Relay for Life Liskeard will be meeting at Sibleyback on Sunday 9th January at 11am to walk around the Lake, 5km.

You can donate to your team or for anyone not in a team, donate to ‘Stride with Hope‘ .

This year, if covid restrictions allow, members of the Liskeard Relay will be taking part in the World Cancer Walk on Sunday the 9th January  11am- 12noon. A group of us plan to walk at Siblyback Lake and everyone is welcome to join us.

Why not join us wherever you are.  Lets get photos from anywhere in the UK.

Its simple to take part you decide when and where you complete your walk, dress up in your relay tops and/or perhaps grab something purple to wear. Get sponsored for your amazing achievement.

Take plenty of photos and enjoy yourselves safely.

We raised over £650 in 2020, lets see if we can smash that!

Please note that all walks are undertaken at your own risk and please follow the appropriate covid guidance.
